Gizmodo pointed out a picture and details supposedly of the Treo 700 from CoolTechTimes. After looking at the picture, I think its easy to tell its a photoshop job. The details say that it has EVDO capability, a 1.3 megapixel camera with 8x zoom, a slightly bigger screen (but still at 320×320 res) and new more rounded style. I think the EVDO and 1.3 megapix cam are “safe” guesses for details, but when comparing the pic of the 700 to the 650 the screen doesn’t seem to be much bigger. Plus I don’t think Palm is going the “more rounded” way with the Treo. With the pics of the 670 we see more angular design with sharper edges, which seems to be more in line with current styles (RAZR and Q for example). The buttons seem to almost exactly match the Treo 650 - with just a couple of them ’shopped and the numeric pad brightened. The EVDO capable phones are CDMA phones which would probably be Sprint or Verizon branded on the top left. I could go more into detail about what seems phony about this pic, but I personally think its pretty easy to tell its a fake.
What do you think? Did you notice anything peculiar about the image? Comment below…

I can’t believe you think the 670 looks more real than this. If this is ’shopped, it’s done in a way much better than that 670 hoax. Yes, maybe Windows Mobile will be available on the next Treo, NO I don’t believe that phone shown in the video is an example. Why not? Because there is NO interacting between the user and the screen, of the keyboard. Never do we see any change in the screen, except for the Verizon startup screen (which can easily be replaced as it is). We don’t see him entering any text, or writing anything on screen whatsoever. That means it could just be PICTURES. You can show pictures on your Treo, right?!
Just because the competition is sharper, doesn’t mean Palm can’t go for more rounded. There are several companies which have rounded phones, and as long as there is some rubber to avoid slipping, I think I like the design. Why oh why would Palm use a branded phone as an example? That’s one of my major criticisms of the 670 hoax.
If this is a hoax, it’s very, very well done, the button area that has changed, looks perfect. Therefore, I don’t believe it would be a Photoshop job, but maybe it’s just a leaked design that won’t make it.
Please, if you are critical, be critical of -anything- you see.

Hahahha LOL, not until just now did I realise the Treo 670 videos actually show a different design Treo than the 650.
That does look more convincing, although I think the design is ugly!
